What happened to inthemix webmail?

Andre Nov 16, 2009

The inthemix webmail service has now been decommissioned and is no longer available. If you did not receive or ignored the notification emails that were sent to all users of the service and you now need access to your email, then please submit a help request.

From Jan 1, 2010 - the service will be totally decomissioned and all email content & forwards will be removed. Please ensure you have migrated your email prior to this date.

Can I export my email to another program or service?

Yes & no.. Depending on your account level, you may or may not have the necessary services available to migrate your email content to another provider. Usually to import email from another provider (eg. Google's gmail or similar) you will need POP3 or IMAP access to your @inthemix.com.au email address. If you were using the FREE version of inthemix webmail (like most users) - this does NOT allow access via the POP3 or IMAP protocols, which in turn means the only way to export your email is one by one, via the web interface.

Alternatively, if you have a PAID inthemix webmail account, you should have information about the POP3 details and you'll be able to connect via this protocol and export your email.

We understand that this isn't an ideal situation. Unfortunately, as the service is ultimately provided by everyone.net we do not have control over what services they will and will not provide (which is one of the reasons we are closing the service). For the record, we do not benefit financially from any payment you make to everyone.net for email services.

If you wish to upgrade your old account to a paid version so you can have POP access (and then import into a new provider), you can still access the webmail service for a limited time, at the new address http://itm.mail.everyone.net/
